Back 2 School America, the Chicago-based nonprofit renowned for its Build-A-Kit program announces details for the annual Real Estate Industry Build-A-Kit, which will be held on July 12 from 4PM - 9PM at the Rauner Family YMCA, 2700 S. Western Ave. The annual initiative is organized with a cross-section of real estate industry leaders that’re committed to making a positive impact by sponsoring the event and personally building back-to-school kits – directly helping thousands of underprivileged students across Chicagoland and combatting the skyrocketing, unattainable prices for back-to-school supplies.

The event is organized like a school supply drive but with a twist. Instead of simply asking for donations, diverse professions across the real estate industry ranging from banks, realtors, architects, contractors, electricians, and plumbers sponsor the event, and their employees volunteer to build school supply kits. It’s an initiative that unites the industry and brings colleagues together for team building, an opportunity to give back to the community, and network with other industry professionals.

We're in June, and parents are worrying about the money they're required to spend for back to school supplies. It's a major burden for thousands of low-income families or those living paycheck to paycheck.
