Back 2 School America, a leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting educational equity, is excited to announce the launch of its "Make An Impact" campaign, a bold holiday initiative to provide essential classroom supplies to support teachers and classrooms during these critical times of inflation and record-high cost of school supplies.
Each Teacher Classroom Kit is filled with essentials such as notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, erasers, markers, rulers, pouches, glue, and many more essential supplies. These kits help ease the financial strain on teachers, empowering them to focus on their students instead of worrying about supplies.
Teachers play a vital role in shaping our future, yet they’re often left covering basic classroom costs themselves. Through our Make An Impact campaign, we’re giving everyone the chance to support these dedicated educators and make a tangible difference for students across our diverse communities.

Reasons to Donate
- Widespread Financial Contributions by Teachers: It's estimated that over 90 percent of teachers use their own money to purchase school supplies and other items necessary for their student's success.
- Significant Out-of-Pocket Spending: The majority of public school teachers spend an average of $673 annually on classroom supplies, as revealed by a survey conducted by the Association of American Educators (AAE), which included over 1,100 educators.
- Under-Resourced Schools Exacerbate Issues: The lack of resources in schools and the implicit expectation for teachers to spend their own money contribute to driving them away from the profession.
How to Make An Impact
- Donate A Complete Teacher Classroom Kit: A $200 donation covers all essential classroom supplies needed to support an entire classroom for a year.
- Contribute Toward a Kit: If someone is unable to cover the complete cost of a Teacher Classroom Kit, donations of $50, $100, or any amount they can give will humbly be accepted and directly help fund these for more teachers.
